CONTENTS

1. Who we are

This policy explains how Advision Services ("Advision", "we"), headquartered at Calea Vitan 23C, 7th Floor, Bucharest, uses cookies and similar technologies on the advision.services website. It should be read together with the Privacy policy, which describes in detail how we process personal data.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit it. They allow the site to recognize your device, remember preferences and actions for a certain period, and function correctly. Cookies do not give us access to your files, cannot install programs and cannot run code on your device.

Depending on who places them and how long they last, cookies fall into the following categories:

  • First-party cookies — placed directly by our website.
  • Third-party cookies — placed by other domains (e.g. Google, Meta), mainly for analytics and advertising.
  • Session cookies — temporary, deleted automatically when you close the browser.
  • Persistent cookies — remain on the device for a set period or until you delete them manually.

3. Legal framework

The use of cookies is governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Directive 2002/58/EC on privacy in the electronic communications sector (the ePrivacy Directive) and, in Romania, by Law no. 506/2004 on the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector. Under these rules, storing cookies that are not strictly necessary is only allowed with your prior, free, specific and informed consent. The competent supervisory authority in Romania is ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro).

4. How we obtain your consent

On your first visit to the site we show you a consent banner through which you can:

  • accept all cookie categories ("Accept all");
  • reject all optional categories ("Reject all") — a button just as visible and accessible as accepting;
  • individually enable only the categories you want ("Save selection").

Analytics and marketing cookies are not activated before your explicit consent, no option is pre-ticked, and refusing does not limit your access to the site. Your choice is recorded together with the date and the version of the policy you accepted, as proof of consent (art. 7(1) GDPR). You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, just as easily as you gave it, from the signal button permanently displayed in the bottom-left corner of every page.

5. Categories of cookies used

a. Strictly necessary ALWAYS ON

Essential for the operation of the site and for remembering your consent choice. Without them, the site cannot function correctly, which is why they do not require consent. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing a functional and secure website (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and the exemption provided by art. 4(6) of Law 506/2004.

b. Analytics CONSENT ONLY

6. Other similar technologies

  • Local storage / session storage — browser storage spaces used for the same purpose as strictly necessary cookies (e.g. remembering consent). The same rules apply to them.
  • Tracking pixels (tags) — invisible 1×1 px images loaded by Google or Meta to measure conversions; they are only activated if you accepted marketing cookies.
  • Pixels in emails — in commercial communications you subscribed to, we may measure opens and clicks; you can unsubscribe at any time from the link in every email.

7. Third-party cookies and international transfers

Analytics and marketing cookies are placed by third parties acting as independent or joint controllers, and they may process data according to their own policies:

These providers may transfer data outside the European Economic Area (particularly to the US). Transfers are based on the EU–U.S. adequacy decision (EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework) or, where it does not apply, on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, together with additional safeguards.

8. How to manage your cookies

On the site: press the signal button in the bottom-left corner of any page to reopen the preferences panel and change or withdraw your consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

From your browser: you can view, delete or block cookies from your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the site works:

Opt-out tools: the Google Analytics Opt-out add-on and the YourOnlineChoices platform for behavioral advertising. We also honor Global Privacy Control signals where your browser sends them.

9. Validity of consent

Your choice is valid for 12 months. When it expires, when the consent cookie is deleted, or when significant changes are made to this policy, the banner will be shown to you again for a new choice.

10. Policy updates

We periodically review this policy to reflect the cookies actually used and the legal requirements. The current version is published on this page, and significant changes will be signaled by re-displaying the consent banner.
